Lamisil (terbinafine) is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections of the skin and nails. It is often prescribed to treat fungal skin infections (e.g., athlete’s foot and jock itch). Lamisil works by killing the fungi that cause these infections. Lamisil works best when taken at the first sign of an infection.
Lamisil is a topical antifungal that is applied to the skin to treat the symptoms of athlete’s foot and jock itch. It may also be used to treat fungal nail infections.
Do not use Lamisil if:
• you are allergic to terbinafine or any of the ingredients in Lamisil tablets.
• you are taking aspirin, warfarin, diphenhydramine, warfarin or other oral anticoagulants (e.g., dabigatran, rivaroxaban, dabigatran XR, dabigatran ER, rivaroxaban XR, dabigatran)
• you are taking cyclosporine (e.g., rifabutin or rifampin), or other oral anticoagulants (e.g., dabigatran, rivaroxaban, rifabutin XR, rifapentine, rifapentine CR)
• you are taking aspirin, warfarin, diphenhydramine, warfarin or other oral anticoagulants (e.g., dabigatran, rivaroxaban, dabigatran XR, dabigatran ER, dabigatran XR, dabigatran ER XR, dabigatran SR, rivaroxaban SR, rifapentine CR, rifapentine SR, rifapentine CR XR, rifapentine XR, rifapentine XR SR, rifapentine XR XR
• you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Lamisil is an oral tablet that is used to treat athlete's foot (tinea pedis). It works by stopping the growth of the fungal infection, called tinea cruris. The athlete's foot is an infection of the skin and nails that are on the inflamed skin of the foot, between the toes, groin, or between the buttocks, or between the groin and thigh.
Lamisil comes in the form of a 1% solution. The solution will be made by mixing the ingredients in a high-powered steamy spray, spraying the solution on your feet, and then drying the solution on the skin. Lamisil is available in the pharmacy.
This treatment is only effective if you take Lamisil for at least six months.
Always follow the dosage and duration of treatment as the infection may return or worsen.

If you are allergic to terbinafine or terbinafine hydrochloride, it is important to use it topically. Start as soon as you feel your pain developing from application.

Lamisil Cream should not be used by children. Use this medicine only when advised by a doctor or nurse by their physician.
